The
story begins like this: Born at Kendrewadi village in central
part of India in 1967 in farmers family. Both mother and father
do farm work and are uneducated.Studied till 10th grade
at Nutan Janata Vidyalaya, Sonkhed/Mankhed (Tq. Ahmedpur, Dist.
LATUR) using kerosene lamps (without electricity – there was no
electricity in Kendre’s town). Achieved rank 1st in
the school and wanted to study science. Took admission in Dyanand
College, Latur for Science. Scored 96% marks in Math group and
took admission to Computer Engineering in 1986 at Govt. Engineering
College, Aurangabad. Completed
B. E. Computer in 1990 with rank II in University.
Worked
for 4 years in India as software engineer at Mantralaya and L&T and come
to US in June 1994 with $50 in pocket and a job offer from Atlanta based
company Software Technical Service. Worked as consultant here in Harrisburg,
USA and got MBA on part time basis at Lebanon Valley College, USA.
During
the last semester of MBA class, Kendre submitted a business plan to his MBA
instructor John Zentgraf (Owner/partner of Wharton Capital Advisors,
Harrisburg, 728-9007) about starting a software company. Instructor did not
accept the plan since it was showing $1 million revenue on first year.
Kendre
implemented the same business plan and started YEAR 200 Consulting in 1997
with $24,000 loan from CREDIC. Achieved $600,000 sales in first year of the
operation by solving Y2K issue for many clients nationwide. After year 2000,
company’s name was change to FORTUNE 500 Systems, Ltd.
For 2001 and 2002 FORTUNE 500 Systems, Ltd. has been selected for TOP 50 Fastest Growing
Companies in Central PA.
Around
March 2001, Kendre started Global Healthcare Group to serve healthcare
industry. Global Healthcare Group
is in operation for last 1.5 year and had achieved sale revenue of $1.6
million in last 12 months and expects to generate over $4 million in next 12
months by providing Home care, staffing and medical billing.
Global Healthcare Group employs over 300 nurses.
Right
now Kendre is busy with a new project to do import/export
business from India.
People Philosophy: Kendre
believes in open door policy with friendly culture. Every one working around
is allowed bring new ideas to the table and contribute to success of the
business.
Social Responsibility: His social involvement is more in India. He
has set up scholarship fund in his home town, has donated funds to charity
organizations in India for earthquake affected people and in process of
building a temple in his home town.
